About Mr. Jordan K. White
Jordan White is the current Director of Bands in the El Dorado Springs R-2 School District. Mr. White is in his 10th year of teaching, and in his 6th year as a Bulldog.
Mr. White was born in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, while his father was stationed there in the military. Mr. White's family moved to Lockwood, Mo upon his father's exit from his military career. Mr. White attended the Immanuel Lutheran School in Lockwood, Mo, then attended Lockwood High School.
Upon graduation from high school, Mr. White attended Pittsburg State University. While at PSU, Mr. White served as a Resident Assistant and Assistant Residence Hall Director for the University Housing Department. Mr. White graduated with his Bachelor of Music Education with an emphasis in Instrumental Education in the fall of 2010, upon his successful semester of Student Teaching at Carl Junction R-1 Schools.
Mr. White then continued his education at Pittsburg State University, earning a Master of Music with an emphasis in Wind Conducting, in the spring of 2012.
Before assuming his current role at El Dorado Springs, Mr. White served as the Assistant Band Director at Seneca High School, Mo for 4 years. Here he helped build a strong Music Department with the help of many mentors' and colleagues' guidance.
Mr. White is currently the Director of Bulldog Bands at El Dorado Springs R-2 School. He has grown the program from 51 to its current 100+ students. Mr. White has also successfully lead the High School band to four consecutive MSHSAA State Large Group Superior Ratings in 2017, 2018, 2019, & 2021 (the MSHSAA State Large Group Festival was canceled in 2020). He has also coached many Superior and Outstanding Ratings for Solos and Ensembles at the District Level, and Gold & Silver Ratings at the State Level.
Mr. White is a member of the National Association for Music Educators, Missouri Music Educators Association, Southwest Missouri Music Educators Association, and Association of American Educators.
When Mr. White isn't teaching, he enjoys playing with his brass quintet, The Banana 5; riding his horse, Tank, with his family; playing with his puppy, Weston; and hanging out with his nephews!
